Stepping Stones is fortunate enough to own the undeveloped land behind the center. We chose to develop this space so that our classrooms are able to occasionally take their learning outside the classroom walls.
There are so many things to explore and do in nature. We love that our children have a space where they can learn safely through hands-on experiences.
Through staff and parent volunteers and generous donations from families, Stepping Stones has been able to build additional outdoor learning stations. You can find a mud kitchen, music & weaving stations, fairy gardens, car tracks and more!
Stepping Stones has two playgrounds. The first is for our older infant and toddler aged children. The play ground equipment is closer to the ground and easily accessible for smaller hands and bodies.
The second playground is meant for preschool and school aged children.
Our playgrounds are more than just a playground with adult supervision. Our staff create learning opportunities on the playgrounds to extend learning!
We are on menu #4 for the week of October 4-8.
